Powers:
The Blastronaut is a two blaster wielding traveller in time and space. His suit was created for members of a scientific project to enter and explore the Zoomways, an artificial network of wormholes connecting distant parts of time and space. Lost during his first mission, the Blastronaut has wandered time and space ever since, fighting evil and injustice wherever he finds it.
Out of the Blastronaut suit, the Blastronaut is careful to always disguise himself, never appearing in the same appearance in different time periods. He basically nearly always looks like an athletic white man (usually), but other than that he assumes one of hundreds of prepared identities in whatever time period or location in space he finds himself. The first warning people have that he is the Blastronaut is when he Quick Changes into his suit. If he appears in his Blastronaut suit and there is no reason for him to remove it - he doesn't. He remains in costume for the duration of the adventure whenever possible.
After exposure to the Wenniger Energy of the Zoomways, in most places he visits the Blastronaut is now able to somehow blend in and go unremarked as an astronaut. His costume is instinctively explained away as a "most passing strange suit of armor" or a "funny lookin' getup one o' them inventors back east must'a dreamt up" or "probably advertising a new movie" and so on.

  • Blastronaut Suit

The Blastronaut Suit is a modified astronaut suit fitted with Phenomenal Rank systems. It consists of a Helmet and a Suit. The Helmet Has a radio communications system as well as a Space-Time Telegraph with four sets. Each set can be provided to someone in a specific time and place and used to communicate as if by telegraph (25 words or less) with the Blastronaut wherever he may currently be. The Helmet also provides Phenomenal targeting for the Blastronaut when he is using his Blasters.

The Suit is a complete all encompassing astronaut space suit, armored against micrometeorites (and bullets). Provides LIFE SUPPORT Power making the wearer Waterproof, Earthproof, Airproof, Fireproof and Bulletproof (ignores all firearm damage below Phenomenal). Has its own air supply which will last 15 days. Opening the suit to the local atmosphere will recharge its air supply for another 15 days after the suit has been open for one full hour. The suit ignores effects of submerging in water until a depth of greater than 2,000 feet in terms of crushing damage. Can cope with bathroom needs and supply a nutritious if chemical tasting liquid for nourishment for 15 days before requiring recharging. When its armor Protection reaches zero, the Blastronaut suit falls apart but the Blastronaut is still dressed in a futuristic jumpsuit that acts as Cloth Suit (Terrible armor).

Has holsters for twin .75 caliber Blasters.

The Blastronaut Suit is equipped with electrogravitic space warp technology allowing it to fly at Phenomenal speeds, ceiling unlimited. BLASTRONAUT SUIT

  • TIME CONTROL (Triple Shift): Blastronaut can Time Travel at this Rank using the built-in Devices in his Blastronaut suit. The Limitation is he must also travel in space, to whatever specific location at his destination has a Zoomway Exit.
  • SPACE CONTROL (Triple Shift): Blastronaut can travel in space at this Rank using his astronaut suit as his Vehicle. His means of propulsions is space warp created as a controlled side effect of his suit's Zoomway technology.
  • Quick Change (Phenomenal): the character can swap between their costumed full powered form and their civilian identity as a single action. The Rank of this power helps indicate how "quick" the change really is: characters and Vehicles slower than this Rank will not take their action before the Quick Change is complete unless the Quick Change character is taken by surprise.
  • Master of Disguise (Phenomenal): The Rank in this Power substitutes for the ordinary Reason roll when the character attempts to disguise themselves. The character can also have a number of previously established identities equal to the score in this Power. Once a "slot" of these disguises is used this should be noted on the character's sheet.

Contacts:
The Space Lords, an isolated Refuge of masters of time and space formed originally by a group of rag-tag astronauts from a dozen different realities all arriving at the same ancient ruins on a far-off planet lost in space and time.
Local merchants across time and space, each of whom know the Blastronaut under a different identity.

Limitations:

  • Hunted by The Lastronaut: A skeletal figure in a suit very similar to that of the Blastronaut himself, the Lastronaut relentlessly chases the Blastronaut and other Space Lords when they leave the safety of their Refuge. If the Blastronaut remains in any one location in time and space longer than 100 hours, there is a chance each following day that the Lastronaut will appear. A Space Lord, including the Blastronaut, who is caught by the Lastronaut is Wrestled and if the attack results in a Hold the Lastronaut grips his victim, inflicting Phenomenal disintegration damage on them each round until they are reduced to dust and the dust then blows away.
The Lastronaut speaks, rarely, but only in a whispered hiss and usually only to accuse the Blastronaut or other Space Lord of some crime. If forced to, the Lastronaut will disintegrate non-Space Lords, but then tell the Space Lord it is chasing, "thisssss issss yourrr fault-t-t ssssssss..."
The Lastronaut is Beyond normal statistics but its Speed is merely Phenomenal.
  • DON'T KNOW WHERE TO SEND THE CHEQUE: since the Blastronaut is either in his suit or in disguise, he earns no Popularity.
  • YOURS IS THE GREATEST RIDDLE OF ALL: This character must maintain a separate Karma score for his civilian identity for that time and place AND for his suited form. Each adventure he must choose whether he uses the Karma of his heroic form or his civilian form, he cannot use both.

Notes:
Blastronaut usually presents himself when in his suit as an all-American square-jawed hero fearlessly fighting evil. Out of his suit, his disguised identities may or may not reflect a truer version of his personality. No one knows. Frequently, his disguised identity will contain a hint of some kind as to his "real" identity but even these clues are inconsistent with each other. The truth is, Blastronaut may not even human. He may not be the man who was sent into the Zoomways by that scientific experiment at all...
