Powers:
Calibos is the son of Thetis, goddess of the sea. He was to marry the princess Andromeda and be the next ruler of the Kingdom of Joppa, and he prevents Perseus from reaching his goal numerous times. He was deformed by Zeus as punishment for hunting and destroying every living thing surrounding The Wells of The Moon, including Zeus's entire sacred herd of flying horses (except for Pegasus the stud). For that and many other transgressions, Zeus punishes him, transforming him into a satyr-like creature who is subsequently shunned and forced to live as an outcast in the swamps and marshes.

During his exile, the Kraken speaks to Calibos in a dream. He tells Calibos that he too seeks vengeance against Zeus, and that if they joined forces, everything that the gods created would belong to them. Calibos agrees, and the Kraken tells him to create an army for an uprising the Kraken has planned for the gods. Calibos soon becomes a fearsome warlord with a relentless army at his side, and the Kraken’s apprentice along with it.

In revenge against Joppa (and under the Kraken’s orders), he summoned Andromeda and arranged for her to give a riddle to anyone who wishes to wed her. If they failed, they would be burned at the stake. Perseus managed to follow Andromeda into the swamp using the helmet left for him by Athena. After overhearing what the riddle would be, Perseus left and was later ambushed by Calibos when he was near the swamp. Perseus managed to cut off Calibos' hand and presented it to Andromeda the next day when the answer for the riddle ended up being a ring as the severed hand had a ring on it. Calibos appeared in the Temple of Thetis praying to his mother to take revenge on Perseus for cutting off his hand. Thetis tells Calibos that she can't do that as Perseus is protected by Zeus. Calibos tells Thetis to at least punish Joppa.

Thetis does when her statue breaks during the wedding demanding that Andromeda be sacrificed to her and Calibos’ master, the Kraken. After Perseus had beheaded Medusa, Calibos (now having replaced his lost hand with a trident-like hand) pokes at the bag that Medusa's head is in causing some nearby Scorpions to become large. When the giant scorpions were defeated, Perseus managed to fight Calibos again with the fight ending with Perseus killing Calibos, though Calibos manages to kill everyone else in Perseus' Legion. This news reaches the Kraken, which infuriates him, deciding to destroy Joppa and settle his conspiracies once and for all. From: https://clash-of-the-titans.fandom.com/wiki/Acrisius/Calibos

  • STRIKE (Great (20): Calibos' left hand, struck off his body by Perseus, has been replaced by a wickedly sharp swordbreaker. It can Strike for Great Lethal Melee in ADDITION to whatever standard action Calibos takes in a round. As a standard action Calibos can also use his swordbreaker to inflict Binding effects on anyone armed with a weapon in melee with him. The effect will end only if or when the attacker releases their weapon from their own grip.
  • SUPER ABILITY (STRENGTH) (Astounding)

Contacts: Thetis, The Kraken, the Forces of Darkness and Chaos

Limitations:

  • MONSTROUS
  • STALLED
  • DARK SECRET
  • ACCOUNTABLE: To Zeus
  • ACCOUNTABLE: To the Kraken
  • Notes:: Acrisias was a thoroughly unpleasant man, and the monster he is turned into amplifies his bad traits to an extreme. It would be a huge mistake to think of Calibos as stupid however - he is intelligent, cunning, a good planner and reacts quickly to new situations. He fights with terrifying skill and while his Monstrous limitation causes people to stare or panic he moves in to attack or carry out his plan.
